As a mom who is constantly on the go, I was on the hunt for the best spill-proof toddler snack cups. I needed to find a spill-proof snack cup that didn’t spill crumbs everywhere but was also easy enough for his little hands to fit into.
Whether you’re going for a walk, heading to the park, having a family day at the zoo, or headed to a baseball game, having a good snack container is essential as a mom.
I wanted a snack cup that:
- Didn’t spill everywhere
- Was easy for my baby or toddler to use
- Bonus points if it was non-toxic and reusable
In this post, I’m breaking down all the snack cups I’ve personally tested for babies and toddlers. If you’re searching for the best spill-proof snack container, keep reading.

Before I dive into each snack container, here are the things I considered when testing:
- Ease of use – Can my baby actually get the snacks out without dumping the entire thing?
- Spill-proof design – Does it actually prevent the contents inside from spilling everywhere, even if it’s upside down in the diaper bag or being tossed around by a child?
- Material – I prefer reusable snack containers made from silicone or stainless steel over plastic.
- Cleaning – Dishwasher safe is a huge bonus.
- Portability: Must fit in a cup holder or diaper bag and be easy for little hands to carry.
Spill-Proof Toddler Snack Cup Winners:
Best Non-Toxic (stainless steel) Snack Cup: Elk & Friends Stainless Steel Snack Cup
Best Plastic Spill Proof Snack Cup: Ubbi Tweat No Spill Snack Container
Best Snack Cup for Road Trips: Elk & Friends Stainless Steel Snack Cup or the Lalo snack cup
Best Silicone Snack Cup: Lalo snack cup
Elk & Friends: Best Snack Cup Overall
Is it spill-proof? Yes, and it’s now my top stainless steel pick.
What sets this one apart is the removable silicone top, removable lids, and the stainless steel base. It also has two easy-grip handles, making it perfect for babies and toddlers.

You can even remove the silicone top and use it as a regular bowl, which makes this cup incredibly multipurpose.
Plus, everything I’ve purchased from Elk & Friends has been high quality and has lasted a long time, and this snack cup is no exception. You can read about the plates that we loved from Elk & Friends when we started baby led weaning in my Baby-Led Weaning Essentials blog!
Pros
- Stainless steel (non-toxic) base
- Removable silicone snack top
- Includes removable lids
- Easy for little hands to hold
- Can be used as a bowl
- Dishwasher safe
- Extremely durable and well-made
Cons
- Honestly, couldn’t find any cons!
If you want a non-toxic, stainless steel snack cup that actually works, this is the one I recommend!
Ubbi Tweat No Spill Snack Container

Is the Ubi Spill-Proof? YES! This originally was my top pick until I found the stainless steel ones from Elk & Friends! If you don’t care about it being plastic, I would go with this one!
The Ubbi Tweat snack cup wins on all fronts: it’s truly spill-proof, super cute, has an attached lid, and is easy for babies to hold. Even when shaken or dropped, the snacks stay inside.
The anti-tip base adds even more stability, love that! My baby walks around with this one around the house and never loses any of his snacks inside! I know that I can throw this one in the diaper bag and it won’t make a mess.
Pros:
- 100% spill-proof
- BPA-Free
- Attached lid (no losing it!)
- Easy to clean and assemble
- Fits in most cup holders
- Anti-Tip Design: Features an interactive weighted base that leans and wobbles, preventing the container from tipping over
Cons:
- Made of plastic (but BPA-free)

Munchkin® Snack+™ Stainless Steel Snack Catcher Cup with Lid
Is this stainless steel snack cup spill-proof? Yes!
The Munchkin Snack container actually came in third place for me! When shaken and dropped, none of the contents came out.
I love that it’s made of non-toxic stainless steel and it’s super easy to clean.
However, it lost a couple points for the lid. The lid is awful. It’s flimsy and pops off as soon as you shake the snack container around.
If the lid would’ve stayed on this would have been my number two since I prefer the stainless steel over the plastic.
Pros:
- 100% spill-proof
- Non-toxic stainless steel
- Easy to clean and assemble
- Fits in most cup holders
Cons:
- The lid comes off so not great for taking anywhere
- Not ideal for travel unless the lid is reinforced

Here is what the lid looks like on the Munchkin snack container. I’m not sure why they didn’t make this so that it attached to the bottom.
If the lid would have stayed on, this would have been the winner for me.
If you really want a stainless steal snack cup for your baby or toddler, I would go with this one. Just keep in mind the lid situation!

Lalo Silicone Snack Cup
Is it spill-proof? Surprisingly… yes (for silicone).
I’ll be honest, I usually don’t love silicone snack cups. But the Lalo snack cup beat out the other silicone options I tested, including BraveJusticeKidsCo.

This one feels sturdier than most silicone cups, has an attached lid, and is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. It’s easy for toddlers to use and doesn’t feel flimsy.
Pros
- Sturdy silicone design
- Attached lid
- Easy to clean
- Visually cute and modern
Cons
- Still silicone (not as spill-proof as Ubbi or Elk & Friends)
Final verdict: If you prefer silicone, this is the best silicone snack cup I’ve tested.
Other snack cups that I tested that I didn’t love
Mushie Silicone Snack Cup | Spill Proof Food Container

Pros:
- Adorable and aesthetically pleasing
- Dishwasher safe
- Lightweight
Cons:
- Not spill-proof at all
- Flimsy flaps that don’t hold snacks in
- Snacks easily fly out when shaken or dropped
Is the Mushie Snack Cup Spill proof? Nope!
While the Mushie snack container wins in the aesthetic and “cute” department, it fails miserably in the spill-proof department.
Unfortunately, the Mushie snack holder was actually the worst out of all of them and I usually love Mushie products!
The silicone flaps on the top are super thin and loose and when shaken (which what baby doesn’t?!), the snacks inside the snack holder just go everywhere. I wouldn’t even use this one around the house.
Final verdict: Skip this one unless you only care about looks. There are better snack cups for baby options out there.
WeeSprout Snack Containers | Spill-Proof Tops for toddlers and babies

Is the Wee-Sprout Snack container Spill-Proof? Nope.
The Wee Sprout snack container was just eh…I have realized that all silicone snack containers just kinda suck.
Due to the flimsiness of the silicone, whenever the container is squeezed, it opens up the top as picture below. Kids carry these snack containers around the house and are not gentle in any way shape or form so these are just asking for a mess to be made.

Pros:
- Easy to clean and assemble
- Comes with a lid
- Dishwasher safe
Cons:
- Not spill proof
- Flimsy silicone flaps
- Prone to accidental spills from squeezing
Final verdict: Skip this one unless you’re only using it at home and don’t mind cleaning up puffs constantly.

BraveJusticeKidsCo | Snack Attack Snack Cup | Collapsible Silicone Snack Container

Is the Brace Justice KidsCo Snack Cup Spill-Proof? Nope and confusingly overhyped.
How on earth this snack cup is rated a 4.6 out of 5 stars with over 8,000 reviews on Amazon, I have no idea. The top part is super flimsy and when shaken around, the contents inside come flying out. If you forget to use the lid, prepare for a mess.
Pros:
- Easy to clean and assemble
- Comes with a lid
- Has a handle
- Is collapsible
- BPA free
Cons:
- Not spill proof, shake proof, or rattle proof
- Super flimsy flaps on top
- Snacks fall out easily
- Overrated, in my opinion
I also tested these below and just didn’t love them!

- More Peas: Not very functional, design wasn’t my favorite (personal preference)
- Tegion: Too large and bulky
- Boon: Plastic (not my preference), but the size is great and fits in car seat cup holders
- Oxo Tot: Again, plastic. Functional, but not my top choice
Final Thoughts: So Which Snack Container Is Best?
After testing all of these, the Elk & Friends Snack Cup came out on top. It’s functional, cute, easy to use, and actually spill-proof, everything I was looking for in a baby snack container. If you’re looking for the best toddler snack container for on-the-go days, this is the one I’d buy again in a heartbeat.
If you prefer silicone, the Lalo snack cup is the only one I’d personally recommend.
Let me know which snack cup you love, or if there’s another popular toddler snack cup you want me to test next!
